Fun and games
This week I have been mainly fiddling around with skins and themes. There's a skin called Dusk which was developed a few years back for WordPress by Becca Wei and which was further modified by Gregory S. Hayes for MediaWiki.
It's a nice simple skin and I really like it, so I've spent the past week modifying it for other content management systems and suchlike. Testing has been done on my own offline localhost WAMPServer which has MediaWiki, Drupal, Joomla, WordPress and SocialEngine installed.
New bloggings
So. I'm currently trying out a new hosting service provided by Dreamhost. It's a free beta-test setup which comes with all manner of applications. Currently installed (but not yet fully utilised) are WordPress, Drupal, ZenPhoto, phpbb, and MediaWiki.
Functionality is a bit limited with respect to how much one can tinker and fiddle, but that's the price you pay for using a free system. If I like what there is here I may upgrade to the full package... then again, seeing as I'm a dirty skinflint, mebe not, eh.
